Farmers Market Open Fridays 3-6:30 - Route 7, Hoosick, NY

A new farm market is open on Route 7 in Hoosick, NY!

The Hoosick Farmers' Market, located at the Creative Custom Woodcraft is open on Fridays from 3-6:30pm.

Joanne Tilley of Tilldale Farms in Hoosick proposed the idea to the folks at Creative Custom Woodcraft and they agreed to support the farmers market by providing a place where people in the community could sell their farm products, produce, baked goods & handmade crafts. Tilley says, "We are an eclectic group of neighbors who plan on presenting our best, locally produced and farm-grown products and hand made craft items to everyone in the surrounding area - we are so excited!"

When asked about their decision to help out, Countryside Woodcraft owners Jason Reinford & Brian Boll said "We are thrilled to have this opportunity to be of service to the Hoosick area and surrounding towns by providing a place for local products to be sold. We look forward to seeing many old friends, and making many new friends. What a great way to bring neighbors together." Jason and Brian are also happy to offer Free Tours of the furniture and custom cabinetry shop and showroom to all.

There are over ten different vendors. Hopes are that more people will participate once the word gets out. Some of the products being offered are organic beef & pork from Tilldale Farm, Boll Family Baked Goods, Kontoulis Family Extra Virgin Olive Oil imported directly from Greece, and Dick & Cathy Ogden of Running Brook Sugar Shack with locally produced maple syrup products. Mapledale Farmhouse Cheese is fully aged and ready for tasting. We now have cheese made from our own farm's milk--just like we did 130 years ago. We hope that you enjoy the unique taste and flavor of our authentic, locally produced cheese. The first varieties available are: "Classic Farmhouse Colby", "Farmhouse Garlic Colby" and "Farmhouse Chili Colby".

In addition the Moseley's from Refuge on the Rock Farm currently have available: locally raised free range whole frozen chicken, free range brown eggs, popcorn, and lettuce. A wide varity of fresh vegetables will be available through out the growing season.

Food is available for sale & provided by Bryan Hess. Brian has grilled BBQ Chicken marinated with a special homemade recipe. To complement the BBQ he offers baked beans, pickles, Dried fruit snacks and beverages.
